2024 Ladies' League Volunteer

• Each team will have a scorecard. It will be each team’s responsibility to check the accuracy of both scorecards and make sure they match. If only one scorecard is turned in, those results will be entered.
• Matches start at 5:30 PM every Wednesday. In the event of a time change, rainout, etc. a notification will be sent out via email or phone number you have provided.
• Each team will consist of 2 golfers. If one or both of your players cannot make it on match day, you can have 1 member from your team play both opponents, find a sub with a handicap, or forfeit. If you know your sub before your match, please notify Courtney Lewman so the scorecard can be updated. (Please, no later than 4 PM on Wednesday).

• There will be 10 points for grabs each week, hole-by-hole, and total score. (9 holes + 1 final score = 10).
• We will play from the RED Tees.
• All matches must be played before the following Wednesday if a different day is decided by both teams. You may not make up a match after this & your team/teams will forfeit.
• Pace of play is enforced—ready golf is welcomed, 2-3 minutes to look for your ball before dropping and taking a stroke if you cannot find your ball. (Driving to the ball is not included).
• Pace of play continued…if you are out of a hole, meaning you have no chance of winning the hole or will hit an 8-stroke, pick up and concede.
• Forfeit points will result in 6.5 points for the opposing team if you choose to forfeit.

Things that cause a huge backup-
• Starting early or late is not acceptable.
• If you are going to be late, your partner will have to start without you and can join when they arrive.

Rules/regulations

• The ball will be played up and be moved 1 club length no closer to the hole, in the same cut of grass (you may improve your lie, not your position).
• Hole #6 example: if your drive goes into the hazard area and you can readily reach your ball, you may bring it back and play without adding a stroke. If your next shot goes into the pond area, you must add 1 stroke and advance it across the pond, to speed up play. (Again, adding 1 stroke).
• Any “bad spots” on the green or fringe, if in line with your putt or chip, you may take relief no closer to the hole as long as you notify your opponent, and they agree.
• Hole 8 in the left rough, the long, wet grass area is a free relief drop no closer to the hole.
• White markers = ball out of bounds and must take a drop no closer to the hole add 1 stroke.
• Red = hazard (if you can find your ball, pull it back, and continue play), no stroke.
• A “gimme” putt adds 1 stroke (ex. Hole 1: I have hit 3 shots onto the green and my opponent says, “That’s good, or “That’s a gimme” I will have 4 strokes = 4 for hole 1)

Substitutions/Handicaps ,br>Ladies League Handicaps will be added to the webpage. They will be updated weekly along with the standings. If you are new and do not have a handicap, you will be required to turn in at least 1 scorecard with 9 holes minimum before the first league night. Failure to provide these scores before May 3rd, 2024, will result in starting with a 0 handicap.
Your handicap with a sub will take the average of the two of you. Dues & game of the week $ are due before the beginning of the season (May 8th)
